Yellow Pumkin and Brown Gram Poriyal | Kaddu Kulthi ki Sabzi

I find pumkin too sweet to eat on its own,so i add some Green or Brown Gram when i cook it.

Usually coconut milk is added in this recipe,but i prefer to leave that out.

you like?


brown gram pressure cooked with salt
pumkin cut in squares


curry leaf 3/5
mustard seeds 1 tsp
chana daal 1 tsp
green chilli 1
coconut pwd 1 tsp

make sure the brown gram is not overcooked
it must look like this,not too mushy

first we boil the pumkin adding salt

strain it

temper al the spices and add hing


now add in the gram


add salt to your taste



coconut pwd goes next


gently add in the pumkin-careful not to break the pieces
mix everything well...



eat away....
